Duno when - Ireland V Sunderland (Niall Quinn's Testamonial)

Ireland V Russia

A bit of a funny one this - with Ireland making 12 substitutions, Jason McAteer being the lucky man to be a substitute and substituted. Colin Healy won man-of-the-match, for a pretty quiet 45 minutes, but in all honesty no-one deserved it.

The team and goalscorers will be put in here later.

Ireland V Denmark

1. Dean Kiely
2.Gary Kelly 5. Steve Staunton (c) 4. Kenny Cunningham 3. Ian Harte (1)
7. Jason McAteer 6. Mark Kinsella 8. Matt Holland 11. Damien Duff
9. Clinton Morrison (1) 10. Robbie Keane (1)

Landsdowne Road, Score 3-0 (1-0)

We kicked ass. A Good performance by the Irish, with two early goals and a well deserved goal on his first full start for Clinton Morrisson. I really should write this sooner after the event, so I can remember what actually happened.

The weather was so crap that one third of the pitch was so bad the players kept the ball out of it for the last 80 minutes of the game. The Americans put up a good battling performance, but the Irish probably deserved their win. Robbie Keane was very busy, Duff did well for his 45 minutes, after troubling the American defence. Delap tried hard, but won't be getting a ticket on that performance. Given did excellent was called on, and everyone else looked soild but unspectatular.

Man of the Match was Robbie Keane, but Claudio Reyna (the American captain) deserved it for his performance and the needless abuse he got from the Irish fans. Just shows how rasist, sectarian and bigotted the Celtic-Irish link is.
